  • Enjoy some Christmas cheer & potluck goodies
  • shop at a few vendor tables
  • participate in our fundraiser by buying a plate of tasty baked goods

Seasonal Reminders & Tips

Autumn
  • Repair any leaks and reduce drafts in barn
  • Double check hay and bedding supply for winter
  • Cull extra or misfit sheep
  • Prepare for breeding: flush ewes, select breeding stock, time breeding, locate ram crayon and order extra crayons if needed
  • Separate rams from ewes, until desired breeding time
  • Prepare for electricity outages: extra fuel, generator, headlamps or wireless lighting
  • Have a water plan: heated water buckets, insulate hydrants etc.
  • Find personal cold weather apparel fit for working around the sheep

About Lamb

Lamb is a rich source of high-quality protein, B vitamins (B12 and niacin), and essential minerals like zinc, selenium, and iron. It contains no carbohydrates, dietary fiber, or sugars.

Fat content varies depending on the cut, some being leaner and others higher in saturated fats. Lamb also provides moderate amounts of potassium, calcium, and small amounts of vitamins E and K.

Lamb is considered nutrient-rich and supports various bodily functions including immune system health and energy metabolism.
