• Repair any leaks and reduce drafts in barn
• Double check hay and bedding supply for winter
• Cull extra or misfit sheep
• Prepare for breeding: flush ewes, select breeding stock, time breeding, locate ram crayon and order extra crayons if needed
• Separate rams from ewes, until desired breeding time
• Prepare for electricity outages: extra fuel, generator, headlamps or wireless lighting
• Have a water plan: heated water buckets, insulate hydrants etc.
• Find personal cold weather apparel fit for working around the sheep
